Research Interests

Research activities in my laboratory focus on Cancer Molecular Biology and Immunology. I am interested in studying:

1) The role of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes in initiation and progression of cancer

2) Molecular basis of cancer invasion, metastasis and angiogenesis

3) New tumor markers that may help in early diagnosis, prognosis and recurrence of cancer

4)  Cancer therapy : searching for natural products, synthetic products and immunotherapeutic agents which may have anticancer activity;  Antisense-ODNs and siRNA based cancer therapy and combination therapy.
